The 2011 Sea 2 Summit challenge took place on the Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 November. 37 riders and 29 volunteers took part in this amazing event. Riders battled 40km head winds across the Manaro Plains as well as storms and rain while riding up the Snowy Mountains. Greeted by cheers and huge congratulations, 29 out of the 37 riders finished at the top of Charlottes Pass before sunset.
The next Redkite Sea 2 Summit Challenge has been tentatively scheduled for November 2012. To register your interest either as a rider or a volunteer, please complete an

The Sea 2 Summit challenge covers 248 km, climbs a total of 5,500 m and traverses some of the most stunning landscapes in south-east Australia. The ride starts on the Sapphire Coast at Merimbula Beach, located about halfway between Melbourne and Sydney. It ends at the summit of Australia’s highest mountain, Mount Kosciuszko.
Cyclists who participate in Sea 2 Summit have different fitness levels and come from across the country and all walks of life. They all share a desire to make a valuable and lasting contribution to children and young people with cancer and are committed to fundraising for Redkite.
You'll find ride details and information on fundraising here.
Together, Sea 2 Summit cyclists have raised over $350,000 to ensure children and young people with cancer, and their families, can access Redkite’s vital emotional, financial and education support services.
