How your passion inspires our CEO (and her daughters)
It’s been 25 years since Monique Keighery volunteered at Redkite’s first-ever corporate quiz event.
Hearing the moving stories of Redkite families, Monique thought: “Why don’t I know more about this incredible organisation? How can I do more?”
Little did Monique know she would go on to work for Redkite – and become CEO! Today, her passion is shared by her daughters: 14-year-old Amahli and 12-year-old Zaza.
They’ve grown up with Redkite and are proud volunteers, whether that means running their own cake stalls or packing Red Bags. During COVID lockdowns, they also helped their mum put together care packs for local families.
Monique said: “They were so sad to hear of kids who could not see their sick brother or sister in hospital at such a hard time, and other families in our community doing it tough.”
Monique says the same compassion that drives you as a Redkite supporter is vital in her family:
The stories I hear every day make me very grateful for what I have. They show the importance of family togetherness and generosity and thinking about others.
Zaza and Amahli are seasoned Redkite fundraisers – and are renowned for their chocolate slices!
