Redkite welcomes new Chairman, Mark Rigotti

After almost 30 years of supporting Redkite, Mark now takes on the important role of Chairman of Redkite’s Board of Directors.

Redkite is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Rigotti as Chairman of its Board of Directors, succeeding Jennifer Horrigan upon the completion of her three-year term as Chairman.

Mark has a long history with Redkite, having been involved for almost three decades through Herbert Smith Freehills where he is the immediate past Global CEO and currently a Partner & Senior Adviser, and also as a Redkite Board Director.

“We are thrilled to have Mark take on the role of Chairman, particularly given his genuine passion for our work at the coalface for families facing childhood cancer,” said Monique Keighery, Redkite’s Chief Executive Officer.

“He brings such extraordinary skills and experience to the organisation and will no doubt make an even greater impact during his three-year term as Chairman.”

Mark sits on several business and not-for-profit boards including the European Australia Business Council and The Australia Korea Business Council.

“I am delighted to be offered the opportunity to Chair an organisation that makes such a tangible impact in the community and a cause I feel so passionately about. I look forward to further contributing to Redkite’s ambitions to improve our reach and impact for children with cancer and their families,” said Mark.

“A key focus for Redkite over the next few years will be to close the gaps in support for families through innovative, scalable and sustainable service delivery models. We will work closely with the generous Redkite community, children’s hospitals, sector partners and the Government to make this possible.”

Outgoing Chairman, Jennifer Horrigan, will remain on the Redkite Board for another 12 months to ensure a smooth transition.

“It has been an honour to be a part of this wonderful organisation for over a decade and to have the opportunity to contribute to its growth and development. We are fortunate to have someone of Mark’s calibre take the reins and I know he has the passion, experience and skills to make a huge difference and to help lead the future development of Redkite,” said Jennifer.

Redkite’s Chief Executive Officer, Monique Keighery, acknowledged the role of the outgoing Chairman.

“Jennifer’s inspirational leadership as Chairman over the past three years has kept us focussed and determined, and ensured Redkite could be a lifeline for families facing childhood cancer. Her strategic approach, commitment to ensuring the best outcomes for families, and generous fundraising participation have been key to our growth and development. This included her leadership through the 2020 pandemic when families needed Redkite’s support more than ever, and Redkite met the increased demand through enhanced digital support offerings and new scalable support programs,” said Monique.
